#MeToo and controversial Bollywood celebrities

The #MeToo movement in Bollywood picked up pace after Tanushree Dutta opened the case on Nana Patekar. The issue was due to harassment attempt on the set of a film in 2009. Her interview brings courage to many women to voice out and stand for their justice. These are women from different walks of the life have been vocal about the incidents that happened previously.

Men from the film and music industry have been charged by journalists, actresses, fans, and others.

Nana Patekar

Tanushree Dutta claimed that Nana Patekar tried to disturb her on the set of the film Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008. Dutta had filed a complaint at the time however no move was made in those days. Dutta re-opened the charges again with #MeToo. That motivates many ladies and they revealed their stories #MeToo.

Alok Nath

Director and TV writer, Vinta Nanda alleged in a Facebook post that Alok Nath explicitly assaulted her 19 years back. Following her allegation, on-screen character Sandhya Mridul has approached with her incident of being pestered by Alok Nath while they were shooting for a telefilm. Alok Nath's lawyer currently said that the actor is planning to file a defamation case against Vinta Nanda and Sandhya Mridul.

Vikas Bahl

A female worker alleged that Vikas demanded to drop her off to her hotel and harassed her in an intoxicated state. Vikas Bahl has now undermined to file defamation cases against his partners at Phantom Films and Anurag Kashyap have spoken about the previously mentioned case to the press. Vikas Bahl has been issued a show- cause notice by The Indian Film and Television Directors' Association.

 Rajat Kapoor

On-screen producer Rajat Kapoor has been blamed for sexual harassment by a couple of ladies on Twitter. A journalist said that he asked her extremely awkward questions. Another lady said that just about ten years back, Rajat used to call her "constantly" from actor Saurabh Shukla's telephone. The lady included that Rajat Kapoor asked whether she knew any empty houses to have sexual intercourse with her. He then later apologized with her.

Kailash Kher

A journalist approached with her accusations against Kailash Kher. Her report said that he touched her improperly when she interviewed him. Indeed, even a fan from Kolkata said that he had been pestering her. Kailash Kher issued an expression of guilt on October 8.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya

An airline steward claimed that she was harassed by this singer in a bar in Kolkata. Abhijeet countered as he told indianexpress.com. The case is being discussed and figure out the actual issue.

Varun Gover

In 2001, Varun Grover purportedly harassed a lady amid the rehearsal of a play. Grover has denied all charges and put out an announcement on Twitter saying "NEVER contacted any individual improperly throughout everyday life." Director Anurag Kashyap said that he declines to trust any allegations about Varun.
